Interactive Composition: An Open House – HAUNTED HOUSE.

HAUNTED HOUSE is an interactive composition experience exploring the aesthetics of The Uncanny, degrees of Uncanniness and Uncanny Effects. Using music, sound, words, projection and objects in installation, seven composers engage with archetypes and tropes of the Haunted House as a crucible for transformation, the lingering nature of memory, and the fragile interstices between loss and anxiety. Explore notions of psychological horror and the other – echoes, shadows and mirrors – and the ambiguity between inanimate objects, automaton, and personhood. Presenting new works by Serge Balaam, Ryan Basile, Talie Helene, Monica Lim, Richard Munro, Harry Tran, and Rory Vagg.

Red Shed #1, Wednesday 17 April.
